School Daze - Part 3

Welcome to School Daze! Our weekly series on how to specific issues that arise in the classroom from the teacher's and the parent's perspective.

In the past couple of weeks we met Jason and Miss Anderson. They are dealing with the fact that Jason is unable to focus in the classroom. We do not know the reason as of yet, so we are trying to provide some tips that will help Miss Anderson and in turn Jason.

Today's Tip:

Give the kids permission to have an extra snack..sometimes in late afternoon, attention drops off..giving a kid a small protein snack..cheese stick, turkey, etc..will help

Bonus Tip:

Let kids have a squeeze ball or toy..this gives the kids a place for their hands and something to do, while there is "down" time...this helps with the kid keeping hands to self.

Did these tips work? Tune in next week!
