Meal Planning Monday!


This being the week of Thanksgiving for all of our US readers, we kind of figure you have most of the meals planned or will be doing things a bit against routine this week. So, here are a few tips to get your kids and/or picky eaters through the holiday!


If your child is on a special diet and you will be eating at someone else's home:


1. Bring a plate of food for your child that is already prepared and just needs to be heated up!

2. Give the host a heads up that you are doing this - it should not be a problem!

3. If your child has a severe allergy to a food item like nuts - inform your host and ask that they take precautions to the extent that is necessary for the safety of your child.


If your child is a picky eater:


1. This is not the time for a fight! Bring along or prepare whatever foods your child will eat - if it is not the traditional turkey - don't fight it now!
