GOALS
It’s that time of year…when we may feel compelled to set goals more than other times. It makes sense being the New Year!
Sometimes the goals are lofty and other times they are get through the day kind of goals. How does having a child with special needs affect the way you set goals for yourself and for your child?
I recently found this free tool for goal setting online – you might like it too! http://www.goalforit.com/
Our goals for the New Year include launching our new social networking site http://www.knowledgesafari.com/ we will definitely accomplish this one -- stay tuned!

Well, I've decided to set some goals. But I've only just begun to think about it. . . Here are a few:
1. eat better and less,
2. read the Bible and pray more,
3. exercise 3X week,
4. stop saying "##$%",
5. say "no" more
Others I'm considering: hippotherapy for Chloe, switching from clinic therapies to home therapies, and having all 3 of my children do more chores (work ethic).

Kelly - those sound like great goals! I hope you will let us know how things go with Chloe!
Mine is doing what I can to help Cole with his Autism. Trying to do and find all I can to help. It's hard being in a rural area. I would also like to work on getting more awareness out in our area too. My other goal is to try to do at least an hour of scrapbooking a day. It's therapuetic for me. I started it in 1997 when my then 6 year old sister was diagnosed with leukemia and I have continued with it since. I would love to create a group much like I did when I lived near Erie that did scrapbooking as a form of therapy.
Those sound like good goals Darla! We are looking forward to you being able to be part of the Community at www.knowledgesafari.com ! I hope you will share some of your scrapbooking pages! Love to see it.
