Connecting With Others

Knowledge Safari was built out of the idea that parents connecting with other parents traveling a similar path would be beneficial.

Notice I said similar! Not the same....

...I am of the mind that parents who have children with special needs can learn from each other regardless of the specific special need that they have. Of course, there are things that are specific to a specific special need, but in general I think that there are common threads throughout the special needs community just as there are in parenting in general.

So when thinking about making new friends and connections on Knowledge Safari we hope that you include people who are having similar but different experiences to you and your family...you never know...you might be able to really help that person along their path.
