New Series - Fitness and Special Needs

Happy Monday!

Welcome to our new series on Fitness and Children who have special needs! For several weeks, we will be highlighting suggestions on how to work fitness into your child's day in a way that is fun and beneficial.

If you have any ideas to suggest as we go along...please leave a comment or email it to blog@knowledgesafari.com

Let's get started!

Children with special needs face challenges, but in many instances they can participate in physical activities. There are activities that combine fitness and therapy and then there are activities that are purely designed for fun but end up having a therapeutic aspect.

Anything discussed in this series is merely an idea - it may or may not be right for your child(ren) and you should always check with your physician before starting a new activity.

The following is a list of activities (or groups that advocate for special needs and fitness) that are available in various cities around the country. If one looks interesting, you can search to see if it is available in your area and/or email the location to see if they know of something in your area.
